The Hollywood Hill Association is an all-volunteer, non-profit, community organization, dedicated to the preservation of the rural atmosphere and lifestyle that we believe are unique to our neighborhood.

What's Current?

Understanding the issues leading to the “winery ordinance” is a crucial element to our effective defense of our homes and community. We know the issues involved in the “winery ordinance” can seem complex, so we have distilled them into a Q&A article, which can be found here.  (2/25/2019)

We have seen exposive growth of the wine industry in our valley over the last few years, but not all of the wine sellers are the same, or even legal, and some are threatening to destroy our valley's rural character.  Read the recent article on why tasting rooms are not wineries. (2/1/2016)

We elect our county representatives to make the rules we need for a civilized society.  But King County has not been enforcing those rules, and the Valley is suffering as a result.  Please check out the article on possible remedies to this issue. (2/1/2016)

Neighborhood Security Reminder

A reminder from the King County Sheriff's Department. Per Detective Stephen Soule: "Whenever you have a suspicious person at (or near, ed.) your house you need to call our 911 center. You can call 911 if this is a serious issue, or you can call the secondary non-emergency line which is 206-296-3311. We have a directed patrol mission to document all contacts with these salespeople. I should be notified after you have done this. The county has a code to deal with solicitors. You need to post your property with No Trespassing & No Solicitors signs and then if they still come to your door we can issue them a monetary fine."

Remember, vigiliance is the best protection. Don't hesitate to contact the Sheriff's Department if you see suspicious people, cars, or activity. Also, it helps to post "No Trespassing" and "No Solicitors" signs in your yard.
